Re: Howell Island "Pirate Game" rules
That seems a good solution, Pastor. Thanks.

Re:
Ok, I've got a question about the pirate options...we've now got "Escape" which allows a player to block themselves from being "Plundered" for a turn, but I think we also need a way to block the "Pilage" and "Pilfer" actions too. Otherwise a player can just continually keep another player from guessing one particular part of the puzzle indefinitely and the player being blocked has no way of countering it.

Re: Howell Island "Pirate Game" rules
I have added the "Disguise" option to allow a player to avoid being "Pilfered" or "Plundered." I still need to create a graphic for it and the option is subject to discussion and change during this game.

Re: Howell Island "Pirate Game" rules
Oh, I missed this "Disguise" action. I saw Catherlady use it and so looked it up and followed suit...
However, we both used it to "prevent" ourselves from being pilfered and/or plundered for our "next turn". I wonder if it was intended to be used AFTER another player has targeted us with one of those two nasty actions -- as a means of escaping them. It seems to me that using it in response might be better, because then the player attempting to pilfer or plunder will then have wasted those Actions Points against us.
Also, it will be important to know this in reference to the proper timing of an official Accusation.
Perhaps some more clarification from Pastor Rick would help me in this matter.

Re: Howell Island "Pirate Game" rules
I elaborated on the "Disguise" card and how it works just now. Please let me know if I did okay on the new card description or if... I made it more confusing.

It is definitely LESS confusing now. :)
I like how play-testing tends to help make the rules more crisp and clear.
"Two heads are better than one... But, beware the many-headed hydra rightfully named Complication."
I just made that quote up. So, I am quoting myself. lol
I am often one who makes the rules more complicated in my game creation and play-testing experience. Maybe some day I will be more like Pastor Rick. :)

Re: Howell Island "Pirate Game" rules
Okay, I have a strange rules question for Pastor Rick.
Would it be allowable to PASS on one's turn? Say, I as a player do not want to do anything for one turn, because of whatever reason -- but currently, I am thinking I am too tired to think my options through and would like to NOT slow the game down any longer and let the next player take her turn.
However, I think that IF... passing on one's turn is an option, that the player should still respond (if possible) to the previous player's guess (as always), but, that is technically a part of the previously player's turn anyway, I think.
