Game 6: MA
(I'm assuming this is me vs Bec, but any volunteers can join in right now!)
Time to try Magic Arena.
This is somewhat different from the other games (and I'm afraid more complicated).
Movement is the easy part: you can move two squares, including diagonally, so basically you can move to any square in 5X5 area centered on the square you are in.
In this game (due further complicated rules) you post the square you're moving to.
You can't move over the edge.
The use of magic (attacking) is the hard part. You get each turn 5 magic points to use on attacks and the points you leave remain for next turn. So for the big, powerful (larger area and more damage) spells you have to gather points several turns.
You can do as many spells (on one turn) as you have points to. You don't have to do any, saving all points for next turn.
Each player chooses one type of magic (fire, water, air, earth) and can only use the five spells of that type.
(To simplify this first game, we're not using healing and magic storm spells that are meant to be available to all players.)
The spells are:
Fire magics:
1 Flame Thrower: costs 1 MP, does 2 damage to any player in chosen direction (of 8)
2 Fire Cross: costs 7 MP, does 4 damage to any player on same vertical or horizontal line
3 Fire Star: costs 10 MP, does 5 damage to any player on same vertical, horizontal or diagonal line
4 Fire Storm: costs 14 MP, does 6 damage to all black squares
5 Meteor: costs 12 MP, does 8 damage to 3X3 area centered on player
Water magics:
1 Tide: costs 2 MP, does 1 damage to 10 squares in chosen corner (for example squares A1-4,B1-3,C1-2,D1 are the SW corner)
2 Flush: costs 3 MP, does 4 damage to four center squares (D-E4-5)
3 Flood: costs 9 MP, does 4 damage to 21 squares in chosen corner (similarly to Tide, only two diagonal rows further)
4 Ice Storm: costs 13 MP, does 5 damage to all white squares
5 Sail: costs 3 MP, moves player to any square on edge of board (lines A,H,1,8); can only be used when in that area
Earth magics:
1 Rolling Stone: costs 2 MP, does 2 damage to chosen vertical or horizontal line
2 Quake: costs 6 MP, does 3 damage to center quarter of board (C-F3-6)
3 Quarter of Earth: costs 7 MP, does 3 damage to chosen quarter of board (SW=A-D1-4 etc.)
4 Volcano: costs 12 MP, does 7/5/3 damage to 5X5 area; 7 in center (aimed) square, 5 in (8) squares around it and 3 around the edges
5 Burrow: costs 2 MP, moves player to opposite side (across center) of board
Air magics:
1 Lightning: costs 1 MP, does 4 damage to chosen square
2 Tornado: costs 4 MP, does 3 damage to chosen 3X3 area
3 Hurricane: costs 13 MP, does 5 damage to chosen 5X5 area
4 Thunder Storm: costs 18 MP, does 7 damage to chosen 7X7 area
5 Fly: costs 4 MP, player may choose any square to move into
For start/Turn 0 you choose starting square and type of magic (Air would be the easiest to play; I believe Fire is weakest).
Once you choose type of magic, I'll explain how to use/post each spell.
We'll play with 10 hit points (rule default being 20).
I'll play with Fire, you pick one of the others.

Re: Game 6: MA
choose starting square
(I'll post or edit here the explanation of magics later, real busy just now)
Note that you can't use magic on Turn 0 (this is standard on all the games, to not have "blind" attacks before seeing where others are); just choose starting square.
Your magics:
(you can post number or name of magic)
1 Rolling Stone: costs 2 MP, does 2 damage to chosen vertical or horizontal line
(choose number or letter for horizontal or vertical row)
2 Quake: costs 6 MP, does 3 damage to center quarter of board (C-F3-6)
(you don't get to choose where this hits, it always does damage to the 16 center squares)
3 Quarter of Earth: costs 7 MP, does 3 damage to chosen quarter of board (SW=A-D1-4 etc.)
(you choose NW, NE, SE or SW; the attack does damage to that corner - 16 squares - of board)
4 Volcano: costs 12 MP, does 7/5/3 damage to 5X5 area; 7 in center (aimed) square, 5 in (8) squares around it and 3 around the edges
(you choose square where this hits, also doing damage around as described; note that when playing against Fire, like me now, if you hit the square opponent is with Volcano, you'll always cause at least 3 points of damage)
5 Burrow: costs 2 MP, moves player to opposite side (across center) of board
(for example moves you from A1 to H8, C6 to F3, E2 to D7 etc.; when you use Burrow you may NOT move normally that turn)
You start with 5 Magic Points (and get 5MP more each turn) so on Turn 1 you could do two Rolling Stones, RS and Burrow or one of either or save all your points to next turn.
For example, for two RS, you would post:
## (the square you move into)
1 # (the letter or number of row)
1 # (-"-)
On your movement you should consider that my (Fire) attacks are mostly ones shooting on vertical, horizontal and diagonal lines from where I am. Should I gather over 10MP, you need to also beware Meteor (stay away from me) or Fire Storm (stay on white squares).
